Explore nature on your doorstep and learn all about native trees and mammals. Pupils will identify species and estimate the height and age of trees at the park during the ‘Tree Maths’ session. Pupils will be able to identify tracks and signs belonging to native mammals during the treasure hunt style mammal tracking activity. The final session will look at the amazing world of bats, why they are important for our health and wellbeing and how they use echolocation. Workshops have both theory and practical elements.
We advise visitors to wear a warm waterproof coat and strong footwear.
