Join artist instrument builder Ed Devane in a unique music making and improvisation workshop. Day 1 will include using Arduino with Ableton Live to create robot drummers, light controls and sensors, and sound design incorporating DIY instrument building, found sounds and effect feedback. Day 2 will include improvisation exercises and short creative challenges, building up to a public performance of the work. Suitable for people with some musical experience (not essential but recommended) and a willingness to collaborate, improvise and try something different (essential).

The aim is to give participants an introduction to a variety of technologies and creative approaches that they can bring to their own practice as musicians or creative people.
