To mark the fourth anniversary of the spectacular fall of the Russian meteorite known as the Chelyabinsk meteor, join us in the Elements gallery, on the Museum’s third floor, to see and handle some of these amazing pieces of space debris.
Meet Dr. Mike Simms, the Museum’s meteorite expert, find out why these rocks are so rare, and why a 10,000 ton rock from space exploded with as much energy as 460,000 tons of TNT!
